The life cycle of different materials and infrastructure used in the design rejuvenates the landscape which have undergone disturbance and exploitation of human activities for the past decades..

To separate hemp hurds from stalks, crops undergo the retting process to decompose in the fields. Leftover parts of leaves degrades and adds nutrients and carbon to restore depleted soils and sequestrate carbon. As hempcrete is entirely biodegradable, it can be broken up and ploughed underground. Biodegradable hempcrete morphs into landscape as part of the ecological process to be colonised by wildlife.
